About Us
Technology Associates, was established in 1990 by former mechanical/aerospace engineer and university professor Dr. Irving Ojalvo , who has been applying advanced technology to reconstruct nearly two thousand accidents and aid in the related criminal and civil litigation since 1978. His computer analysis and biomechanics simulations, buttressed with a detailed knowledge of structural and dynamic behavior of materials, have been used in the service of both plaintiffs and defendants. The expert testimony of Dr. Ojalvo and his staff of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Biomechanical engineers, with advanced degrees and many publications, has often meant the difference of millions of dollars in settlements for his clients.
Over the years, the company has grown, and now includes staff capable of examining a variety of issues related to mechanical, electrical, civil and biomechanical cases.
Our engineering staff is well prepared to explain and defend our expert opinions in the courtroom. We have experts who:
- Have been qualified to testify as experts in state and federal courts
- Are experienced in testifying in depositions and trials
- Have successfully defeated Daubert / Frye challenges
- Can prepare and explain compelling exhibits at trial
Since 1990, we have been assisting attorneys, insurance adjusters, and their clients by applying our engineering expertise to determining the causes of accidents and injuries, thereby enabling them to make informed decisions on how to proceed with a case. Once the likely cause or causes of an accident are understood, we are in a position to weigh contributing factors, evaluate the opposing party’s claims and offer expert opinions based upon the principles of science and engineering. We can answer questions regarding liability and the correlation of damages to a particular event.
We maintain an extensive library of standards, automotive regulations, building codes, and reference publications relating to accident reconstruction, biomechanics, safety, fire investigation and human factors. Browse through our available publications.
We have extensive testing capabilities and experience and are equipped to perform a wide variety of measurements and tests.
